Athagor was set for Guard duty that night. Armed with a number of large daggers at his waist, and a battle axe in his hands, he stood tall and fearsome. His dark brown eyes scanned the area outside the drawbridge for intruders and thieves but he found no one. It looked like it was going to be another long and boring night for Athagor.

Labyrinth had finished some paper work and had decided to stretch her legs in a walk around the encampment. Wearing her usual avian sword and her blades she left the tent behind her. She spotted someone easily not too far off, calling for back up would bring the orgre's attention to where they were camped. Moving silently forward she creeped toward the massive creature.

Athagor's stomach growled, and so did the ogre. He hated being put to work before supper. Angry brown eyes scanned the area once more, the bone-chilling feeling of being watched creeping up his spine. His grip tightened on his battle axe, and gruesome yellow teeth bared out into the darkness.

Labyrinth crutched down to keep from being seen by the horrendous creature before her. Lying flat for a few moments she crawled silently forward before raising herself on her knees. This was not something she should have taken on alone, something of this size would take atleast two people to take down.

The scent of a human entered his nose, making his stomach growl once more. "Who goes there?" he called, but when there was no response to his dark voice, he decided it must be the barbeque they were cooking inside. This only made him talk to himself in complaint, wishing he was there to eat too.

Labyrinth stood behind a tree she had ducked behind. Stepping out into the open she took the chance that darkness might hide her form.

Athagor licked his lips as the scent came at him again, stronger this time. There was no way it was the barbeque. Though he had no education, the ogre did know how to hunt. Slowly, he leaned his weight against the castle, pretending not to notice whatever human lay in the darkness. He closed his mightly eyes, leaving them part way open to view the outside world, and to get a glimpse of his dinner if it came close enough. His hands gradually relaxed on the battle axe, though it did not fall from his fingertips.

Labyrinth wished she had brought her bow but since she hadn't she would have to use on her her seven blades. The small ones would do well for what she intended. Unsheathing the dagger in her boot she threw it, aiming at the orgre's shoulder.

Athagor winced in pain. So they're armed. he thought as he pulled the dagger out of his skin. He gripped his battle axe again and looked around, brown eyes ablaze with anger. Spotting the human, he raised the sharp weapon threateningly, before charging towards her.

Labyrinth watched as the massive creature pulled her small blade from his shoulder before spotting her. She unsheathed her avian sword when he charged toward her, her advantage was his size. If she whipped around him with her usual speed she would make it out alive, but if not she was grateful for the time she had had on this earth. She stood still for a second before giving a warrior's war cry and running forth to meet victory or death.

Athagor swung his heavy axe down, missing the human by two feet. Trying to pull it out of the ground, he realized it was stuck in the earth. The ogre pulled one of his large daggers from his belt, before scooping the human up in his hands like a fish from a pond. But instead of eating her he spoke, "What do you think you're doing here?" he growled.

Labyrinth dodged his first powerful blow with ease, however when she noticed his axe wedged into the earth she hesitated for a second. The moment cost her to be picked up like a ragdoll by the orgre. She waved her hand in front of her face when she came in contact with his heated breath. Choking from being squeezed so tightly she coughed out an anwser, "Patrol, numbskull what else! Now let me go!" She freed on of her hands and pulled free the dagger sheathed to her wrist. She aimed at his wrist but missed.

"What patrol?" he questioned. "And why do you attack me on sight? I am but a guard to the Dark Castle." There was no need to say he was hungry, for his stomach growled again.

Labyrinth closed her eyes and counted to ten, how could she have slipped in tongue so easily? "Exactly, guard to the Dark Castle." She said avoiding his first question. She heard his stomach and flinched.

"Why would some mysterious patrol member attack a Dark Castle guard?" He questioned, raising his hand so that they were at eye level.
