Jack rode his horse to the Cathedral, where he would tell Labyrinth what he found out. He hopped off his horse, and immediately removed a bandage and wet cloth from his saddle bag to heal the creature's wound. He himself had a wound on his arm, but the horse needed the bandage more that he did. Jack held the wet towel against the horse's shoulder while he waited for Rin. Jack was angry and scared from what he had found, and his horse seemed to have felt the same way. She was shaking from head to hoof. The faded moonlight granted him sight as he waited.

Labyrinth heard the sound of hoof beats, looking out through one of the ruined cathedral windows she saw who it was. Running outside she slammed into Jack giving him a hug, "Where have you been? I've been here for two days!" She pulled away and saw the state he was in, "C'mon, leave that. Go in and see to yourself, I'll tend to your horse. Jack, please don't be stubborn about it."

"I'm fine." he said. "I have much to tell you." Then when the time of how late he was finally hit him, "Two days?" he asked. He didn't think he was that late, but apparently he was. "Sorry to keep you waiting." he continued to wipe the blood away from his horse's wound.

"You should be. I thought you had died." She backed away and let him finish with his horse. "When you're done cleaning her up bring her inside." Going inside she readied her own medical kit for him to use.

He nodded and wrapped the bandage around his horse. Then, leading her inside as Labyrinth had told him to do, he caught a last glimpse of the moon before it hid itself behind a cloud. "Where are you?" he asked, unable to see Rin. He patted his horse gently on the head, waiting for a response.

Labyrinth reached for the oil lamp and tipped it onto the wood she had gathered. Once the room was lit she sat down, "Over here, Jack." Stroking Aracely's feathers she waited fro him to come over and begin telling her of what he had found.

Jack walked over to Rin and sat down. His horse followed him like an obedient dog, and lay at his feet like an old bloodhound. Stroking his horse's mane, the elf began to tell Rin about what he had discovered at the Dark Tower. "Werewolves." he said. "They are building an army of them. But I don't think that they are after your King.... I think they are after the Kingdom of Light. Their target is not the rulers, but they seek the land." Then he continued, "I'm sorry I couldn't find out more. I was attacked and chased out when they noticed me by the drawbridge." Jack didn't tell her about his wound or his horse's. It was obvious she had probably seen the horse's wound, but his own blood remained consealed under his cloak.

Rin listened in silence to the information he was giving her. She nodded deep in thought to how they could stop this and how they could get back to Roland faster to warn the king and the neighboring nations. “All right, we can work with what you’ve given me. No, you did great and Roland and the Light Kingdom should be grateful to have you on our side.” She poked the fire with a stick before throwing it into the fire, “I was able to get into the Dark Castle and win myself an informant. He’ll keep us posted while we’re back in Roland. I would send Aracely with a message but she’d bring attention to herself and us.”

Jack nodded. "So do we leave now or later?" he hoped that they could leave now, because if they waited any longer he feared that the werewolves would pick up the scent of blood from their wounds.

"We can leave tonight or on the morrow. Do you not want to rest though?" As she asked she stood up and began packing the materials she had brought out. Pulling out a parchment and quill she wrote down what he had told her before putting it away.

"Well..." he started. He didn't want to tell her about his wound, but it was the reason he wanted to leave... before he was tracked because of it. "My horse has a wound that the werewolves will eventually catch the scent of blood. I don't want them tracking us here." he said. Jack looked down at his horse. Her wound was not as bad as it had first appeared to be, and the blood had not even soaked through the bandage. The elf bit his tongue, hoping Rin would believe it was only the horse who had a wound. His own throbbed rapidly under the sleeve of his cloak on his upper arm. He could feel the blood dripping from it, and he turned against the wall, hiding it incase it bled through his cloak.

Rin nodded, "I understand and it being us two...we wouldn't stand a chance." she said grudgingly. "All right, we better start off. Ride with me so as not to put weight on your horse." She signaled Aracely to take flight and keep watch in case they were being followed.

"Okay." said Jack, helping his horse to stand. It appeared his help wasn't needed, although her wounded shoulder shook. Jack looked out the window. The full moon had returned to the sky. "We'd better leave now then, if we're to have any light."

Grabbing her saddlebags she tied them to the horn and mounted, "You're right, let's go." She moved toward him and offered her hand for him to mount. "We should be able to make it, at least, to the forest near the border."

Jack took her hand and got on the horse, pulling his own horse along by a rope. In his left hand were his shield and rope, in his right was his sword. He ducked his head under the door as they left, and his horse obediently followed behind them.
